Xi Idol is a talent show where members of the University of Hartford community perform and display their signing abilities. Each contestant competes against each other in order to be the Xi Idol winner. It is inspired by the TV show, American Idol. A panel of judges votes on the winner and the first place winner receives a grand prize!
Each year, Alpha Xi Delta chapters across the country host an AmaXIng Challenge - one of six signature fundraising events - to raise money for Autism Speaks. One of our main fall philantrhopy events is Football FrenXi. Many campus organizations and students attend to make each year a success! We hope to build upon this in future years and continue to make our AmaXIng Challenge a standout event!
Light It Up Blue
April 1st, National Autism Awareness Day, marks the beginning of Autism Awareness Month. We wear blue on April 1st with Alpha Xi Deltas everywhere to honor this important day and to spread awareness of autism. During the month of April, we host Light It Up Blue and in an effort to spread awareness of the disorder. We also sell blue rubber bracelets on campus to encourage all of the Hartford community to join us in shining light on autism.
